20+ Women That Wanted Cool Makeup, but Ended Up With a ton of Disappointment
According to most women, everyday makeup is the key to feeling confident. But there are times when it’s not enough to powder the nose and use eyeliner, and you need a professional artist. They will take the features of your face and the texture of your skin into account to highlight all your advantages and hide all the flaws. However, there are exceptions when you don’t get what you actually asked for.
We at CHEERY have found examples of situations when makeup artists did such a terrible job that their clients had no idea what to do.
1. “This is what a professional MUA did on me for a wedding last weekend. Yes, I went and washed it all off.”
2. “She charged for mess...”
3. “I PAID $85 for this face and ended up walking out the ’MUAS’’s house with an hour and a half left until prom. Clearly, I was not happy.”
4. “I had my makeup professionally done for my brother’s wedding and the only requests I made were natural looking, and no peach-colored eye shadow. I wasn’t thrilled with how it turned out.”
5. “Please help. I am REALLY bummed about my makeup trial. I either need validation that I’m not crazy and this looks like hell, or someone to tell me, ’this looks great, don’t worry.’ I’m paying $350 for my makeup alone, FYI.”
6. “Disappointed with makeup trial — please help me with some feedback for the artists. First time getting professional makeup done, and I’m going back next week for a new trial.”

“I specially told her I didn’t wear much, told her during I felt it was too heavy. She replied ‘I haven’t blended it yet it’ll look good at the end.’ Then when I got out of the white light mirrors to pay she gave me the ‘omg yikes’ eye bulge. Needless to say, I cried off my makeup on the drive home.” © mjurew / Reddit
