18 Lucky Guys That Suddenly Had the Best Shopping of Their Lives

Sometimes, you have to visit dozens of stores to find the thing you need. And very rarely, you’re not even planning to buy anything, but you come across a treasure you can’t go home without.

We at CHEERY love looking at curious thrift finds. And we even feel a little jealous of some of the guys from this article.

“I found a pair of antipaparazzi pants at the thrift store.”

«1970s estate sale haul! $10 a piece. The green dress is an Emma Domb and the other two are handmade. I’m thinking based on the sleeves that the pink one may be a little older than the other two.»

“Cortazar 100% silk dress. Just in time for my brother’s wedding! Still had tags on.”

“I paid $35 for it.”

«I found a locked safe for $15 and it was full of money, gold and silver!»

Sitting in the back of an estate sale was this shockingly heavy safe with ‘no code. $15’ on it. I rocked it back and forth a bit and heard something. Being me, I quickly took the tag for it and went to pay the guy running the sale. He said ‘well, you’ve got to get it out of here! I don’t care if it’s full of gold and jewelry, that thing is really heavy!’ Opened it myself. Found $2,500 worth of coins and silver. Sold it all.”

“Found a Le Creuset honey hole!”

“Found my white whale.”

“I’ve wanted an egg chair my whole life — got it for free from a thrift group, I don’t mind the damage because it’s perfect!”

“$20 for the pair.”

«I pulled up as they were unloading them from someone’s truck and did run from across the street!.»

“Picked this crazy vintage jumper up for £3.30 today.”

“Bought a first edition of Christine by Stephen King for $8 and found a gold $10 bill inside of it.”

  • Ohhhh. I love finding bookmarks! It’s like a little extra gift with purchase. I’m sure I’ve left many in books that I’ve donated. I should start leaving letters. © Designer-Bid-3155 / Reddit

“No one at the estate auction had any interest in this vintage baby stroller, so I walked away with it for a single dollar!”

  • Please tell us you have a dog/cat and that you’ll dress them up all fancily and will push them around town in that thing. © mydogatecheesecake / Reddit
  • I’ve already tried to put my cat in it with mixed success. She’s real uneasy with new things. But I hope to get some cute pics of her in it eventually. © VeryCasualPCGamer / Reddit

“My prized moon mirror. Best find all time. Marketplace seller asked for $80 but gave it to me for $50.”

“Scored this Staub cow cast iron Dutch oven for $24.”
