14 Celebrity Couples Renewed Their Wedding Vows and Proved That Real Love Becomes Only Stronger Over the Years

Wedding vows renewal is a quite popular trend among celebrities. Some couples want to start a new page in their relationship, while others want to reconfirm their feelings for each other once again.

At CHEERY, we became curious about which celebrity couples renewed their wedding vows and why they decided to do it.

1. Beyoncé and Jay-Z

The relationship of this couple can’t be called cloudless but these two celebrities have managed to cope with all the ups and downs and save their marriage. The couple got married in 2008, and they renewed their vows twice: in 2014 and in 2018, in honor of their 10th wedding anniversary.

2. David and Victoria Beckham

In 2017, the celebrity couple renewed their vows at home in front of just a few people. David believes that the secret of their long and strong marriage is in working constantly, “Of course, you make mistakes over the years, and we all know marriage is difficult at times. It’s about working through it.”

3. Matt Damon and Luciana Barroso

The couple has been together for 17 years now. In 2005, they tied the knot in a private ceremony, and 8 years later they celebrated their wedding with the family and friends and renewed their vows. “One of my vows was I gave her the side of the bed closer to the bathroom. And if I don’t stick to that, I’m gonna hear about that from my mom, brother, and father,” Damon said.

4. Salma Hayek and François-Henri Pinault

While on vacation in Bora Bora, Pinault surprised Salma when he walked her down the aisle to their vow renewal ceremony. “The summer is coming to an end and my best moment was when my husband surprised me with a vow renewal — it was not what I would have chosen to wear to my wedding but I was told I was going to the spa!,” Salma revealed.

5. Rod Stewart and Penny Lancaster

The couple celebrated 10 years together with a vow renewal. “Love means many things to many people but to me, it’s wanting to share everything with the one you love and I love Penny now more than ever if that is at all possible,” Stewart said to journalists after the ceremony in their house in Essex.

6. Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne

In 2016, the couple split after 33 years of marriage due to Ozzy’s affair with celebrity hairdresser Michelle Pugh. Later, the rock star admitted that this was a huge mistake that almost destroyed his relationship with Sharon. However, the Osbournes managed to cope with their disagreement and renewed their vows in 2017.

“This is the one that I will remember. Sharon and I have been through so much, and this honestly feels like a new beginning,” Ozzy said after the ceremony.

7. Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Sam Taylor-Johnson

The couple decided to celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary with the renewal of vows and a beautiful ceremony. Aaron Taylor-Johnson wrote these touching words to his significant other on his Instagram, “Yesterday was the most beautiful day, summer solstice, our 10th anniversary... We renewed our vows to one another and confessed our love in front of our nearest and dearest friends and family it was a celebration of love and joy!”

8. Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott

The couple got married in 2006 and decided to renew their vows in 2010 at their Beverly Hills residence. Although their relationship hasn’t always been perfect (it became known that McDermott had an affair in 2013), these hardships only made their marriage stronger.

In 2008, there was a crisis in the couple’s relationship, but after a short breakup P!nk and Hart reunited and renewed their wedding vows at their home in California. It’s interesting that most of the songs on the singer’s album Funhouse, written shortly before the couple rekindled their relationship, were dedicated to their breakup.

The supermodel married the American football player in 2009, and just a few months later the couple decided to renew their wedding vows in a private ceremony on the beach in Costa Rica. “We complement each other. The couple decided to celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary with a romantic renewal of vows ceremony. It’s interesting that Willis’ ex-wife Demi Moore fully supported the couple’s idea and attended the event with their daughters.

The actress and her husband renewed their vows on Valentine’s Day, 10 years after their wedding. The entire cast of the series How to Get Away with Murder, thanks to which Davis became internationally famous, was invited to the ceremony which had an all-white dress code. “We are most alive when we’re in love,” the actress wrote under their photo on Instagram.

The country music star and her husband renewed their wedding vows 50 years after tying the knot. It

A little over a year after tying the knot, the celebrity couple decided to renew their wedding vows in a luxurious ceremony with their family and friends present, and there were a lot of celebrities among them.

It’s funny that Justin Bieber stumbled over his marriage vows several times but this just added some spice to the ceremony.
