We Found What 10+ Actors From the Harry Potter Film Series Look Like and Do Now

It’s hard to believe that the first movie about the adventures of Harry Potter and his friends was released in 2001. A lot of time has passed since then, and all the actors who took part in this franchise look quite different now.

At CHEERY, we were curious to know what the actors from the film series look like now. We didn’t include the golden trio intentionally to pay more attention to the other characters.

1. Stanislav Ianevski (Viktor Krum)

This Bulgarian actor was selected from more than 600 candidates to portray Viktor Krum, but he wasn’t really interested in the movie industry. After Harry Potter, he only appeared in a few movies and TV series. Now he’s actively involved in sports, promotes a healthy lifestyle, and regularly posts photos and videos of his training on Instagram.

2. Evanna Lynch (Luna Lovegood)

The role of the mysterious Luna Lovegood was the first one in Evanna’s acting career. Now she acts in movies, does theater, and is involved in charity work. In 2021, Evanna’s book The Opposite of Butterfly Hunting: The Tragedy and Glory of Growing Up — A Memoir was published. She there described her creative path and her recovery from anorexia.

3. Ellie Darcey-Alden (young Lily Potter)

Ellie acted in many movies and TV series, including the famous Doctor Who. She tried modeling and dancing and has also taken part in TV commercials. The actress is a big fan of Muggle Quidditch, and can even play it quite well.

4. David Tennant (Barty Crouch Jr.)

This popular actor has got many roles in movies and theater under his belt. Perhaps, one of his most famous ones is the tenth incarnation of the Doctor in the series Doctor Who. His wife Georgia shares his photos on Instagram. The couple is raising 5 children. By the way, the actor has red hair in the photo above for a reason: he recently finished season 2 of the Good Omens TV series where he once more played the charming demon Crowley.

5. Emma Thompson (Professor Trelawney)

Emma Thompson is the winner of several awards, including 2 Oscars, 2 Golden Globe Awards, an Emmy, and many others. But the actress doesn’t plan to stop there. Just recently she portrayed the evil baroness in the movie Cruella. Besides, Thompson is an active environmentalist. She is a supporter of Greenpeace, and in 2014, she went on a Greenpeace “Save the Arctic” expedition.

6. Matthew Lewis (Neville Longbottom)

The boy who played Neville Longbottom has grown into a real stud. Nowadays, Lewis continues to take part in movies and TV series, and he’s also into sports. Lewis hosts a podcast of a football club with former professional footballer Jermaine Beckford.

7. Josh Herdman (Gregory Goyle)

Josh decided that acting was not for him. Now he’s a renowned athlete. He has joined MMA and takes part in various tournaments. Perhaps Josh decided to follow his father’s steps: he is an actor and former professional rugby league player.

8. Ralph Fiennes (Lord Voldemort)

Ralph Fiennes is a famous actor who has won many awards. Nowadays he is involved in charity work and continues to act in movies. In 2020, he voiced a tiger in the adventure movie Dolittle and played M in the James Bond movie: No Time to Die. In 2021, Ralph returned to the stage in David Hare’s latest play Straight Line Crazy.

9. Clémence Poésy (Fleur Delacour)

The French actress and model studied drama at the French National Academy of Dramatic Arts and several other schools. After that, she took part in a few advertising campaigns for famous perfume brands and designer clothes. Her filmography includes roles in a few dozens of movies and TV series, such as The Essex Serpent where she starred alongside Tom Hiddleston. Poésy is fluent in French and English and lives both in Paris and London.

10. Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley)

In 2012, Bonnie graduated from the University of the Arts London, and then founded her own production company and began to produce short films. Her first directorial project Separate We Come, Separate We Go was released at the Cannes Film Festival and received critical acclaim. Besides that, she has also directed music videos for different artists, including Scarlett Johansson.

11. Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy)

Tom Felton continues to act in movies, and in 2022, he made his theatre debut in London in the play 2:22 A Ghost Story. As a child, Tom used to sing in school choirs and is still fond of music. He often posts videos on his Instagram and YouTube accounts where he plays the guitar or sings his own songs.
