In 2012, the first movie of The Hunger Games series was released. It has been 10 years since then, and everyone who was in the film has changed and reached new career peaks. Some of them continued their movie careers, others expanded their interests, and some even changed their professions.

We at CHEERY decided to check in on the actors and actresses from this film and find out what they are doing these days.

Willow Shields

Willow played Katniss Everdeen’s sister, Primrose. At the time, she was just 11 years old. Now, she is 22, and she continued to appear in movies and series, but not as often. The last film she worked on was When Time Got Louder. She played the main character and the movie had good reviews. In 2015, she took part in Dancing With The Stars.

Jennifer Lawrence

The Oscar-winning actress became really popular thanks to The Hunger Games. She was 21 at the time. After the first film, she got an Oscar for Silver Linings Playbook. Now she’s been in more than 20 movies. But she took on a very different role in 2022 when she became a mother.

Liam Hemsworth

10 years later, Liam continues to appear in movies, in both lead and supporting roles. He appeared in Empire State, Paranoia, The Dressmaker, Cut Bank, Arkansas, Most Dangerous Game, and many others. Hemsworth also does charity work and is the ambassador of the Australian Childhood Foundation.

Elizabeth Banks

You probably remember Paula Malcomson as Katniss’ mother. Since The Hunger Games, the Irish actress has played more than 10 characters in different films. After the first movie was released, she appeared in Ray Donovan, which made her even more popular. Recently, she played a detective in a mini-series called Redemption, which viewers have really enjoyed.

Leven Rambin

But his career isn’t over yet: in an interview, he said that he wasn’t going to stop working, and that retiring is like death for an actor. This year, you might have seen him in Moonfall and Swimming with Sharks.

Isabelle Fuhrman

Few people know it, but before portraying Clove, the actress auditioned for the role of Katniss. But it was decided that she was too young for the role at just 14 years old. After The Hunger Games, she went on to several dozens of new projects. For example, she won an award for Best Actress for her work in the film The Novice. She also does charity work and is on the board of Love & Art Kids Foundation.

Alexander Ludwig

10 years after The Hunger Games, Alexander Ludwig is famous not only as an actor, but also as a model and singer. He became even more famous after his performance in Vikings.
