7 Body Features That Actually Are Totally Normal

Human beings create stereotypes and then may suffer from them later. Social media is full of photos of perfect Photoshopped bodies. Filters become normal in our life, but everyone is individual and special. You are imperfect, and you are beautiful.

1. Dark circles under eyes

According to statistics, 1 in 4 Americans has some skin imperfections. This is normal because we’re living human beings that can experience stress. Of course, you can use makeup to hide any imperfections, but remember that you’re beautiful anyway. There is nothing criminal about going out natural from time to time. Your skin also needs some rest.

2. Large pores on the face

The skin is the largest organ of the body. It contains millions of pores and all of them are open, allowing the skin to “breathe.” Hormones play an important role in stimulating sebaceous glands to produce more abundant quantities of sebum. That’s why the pores on the face may appear larger than they do on other areas of your body. Any skin type, whether it’s oily, normal, or dry, can take on the appearance of having large, open pores. This condition doesn’t cause any medical concerns.

3. Hairy arms

Having hairless arms became a trend in the nineteenth century because of Charles Darwin’s theory of evolution that claimed it was a sign of superiority.
Research has shown that, nowadays, the removal of body hair by women can be motivated by social pressure. However, it can be your own choice, and only you decide if you need to remove hair from your body.

4. A droopy, dark knee area

Saggy skin on your knees is absolutely normal and caused by stretching of the skin over the joint. The more you kneel or bend your legs (like if you’re an athlete), the more there’s a chance that the skin will stretch.

5. Short nails

Just imagine if everyone had the same face. It would be boring because people need to have variations and choices. It’s in our psychology. And if you prefer to have long nails, someone may think that short nails are cuter.

6. Thin lips

Different races have different average measurements of the lips. For example, Chinese women have the thickest lower lip, as well as the greatest upper lip volume. There is nothing to be ashamed of if your lips are thin, it just makes you individual.

7. X-shaped and O-shaped legs

The rise in perfectionism doesn’t mean each generation becomes more accomplished. It may mean the opposite, in fact. We’re getting sicker and sadder by trying to reach these ideal standards.
It looks like scientists are trying to tell us that being perfect is not as fun as we think. The same applies to your shape of legs. Nature varies, and this is normal.

What do you like the most about yourself? What do you think about shaving your arms? Is it necessary nowadays?
