16 Celebrities Who Have Openly Shared Their Experiences of Having Children Through Surrogacy

Whether it is due to fertility problems or other issues, many couples decide to start a family through surrogacy. While some people might find that uncommon, there are actually many couples out there doing it, including several celebrities, who, for different reasons, opted for this method to have their children.

1. Ricky Martin

In 2008, the singer and his partner became parents for the first time thanks to surrogacy. They had twins Matteo and Valentino, who are now 15 years old. But it didn’t stop there, as Ricky Martin and his husband, Jwan Yosef, wished to have a large family. So in 2018, that wish came true with the birth of a third baby, Lucia, and a year later, they were blessed with a fourth child named Renn, both gestated using the same method.

2. Nicole Kidman

The award-winning actress and her husband, Keith Urban, welcomed their youngest daughter, Faith, born in 2011, through a surrogate mother. 3 years earlier, Nicole gave birth to Sunday Rose. She is also the mother of a boy and a girl that she adopted with her former partner, Tom Cruise.

4. Kim Kardashian

Kim Kardashian gave birth naturally to her 2 older children. However, due to health problems that put possible future pregnancies at risk, she and her ex-partner, Kanye West, decided to look for surrogate mothers that could help them achieve their goal of having a large family. That’s how their 2 youngest children were born. Today, the reality TV star can say that her family is complete.

I am very poor at describing it. But it’s amazing.” This is how her twins, Tabitha and Marion, were born.
