How an Israeli Model Conquered Quentin Tarantino’s Heart and They’re Happily Married With 2 Kids now
When people enter their adult life, they have to make a difficult choice sometimes: to spend their time and energy on their career or on a romantic relationship. Quentin Tarantino, who’s been fond of movies since childhood, chose his career and stayed true to his choice till the age of 55. But once, when he visited Israel for work, he met model and singer Daniella Pick. She turned his life upside down and made him doubt his initial choice.
Quentin could build a relationship with many women, but he chose to remain single.
Quentin Tarantino is known not only for his scandalously famous movies but also for his reputation as an avid bachelor. Before meeting Daniella Pick, the director had never been married, even though he dated many famous women.
The long list of Quentin’s romantic victories includes film director Sofia Coppola, comedians Margaret Cho and Kathy Griffin, and the Oscar-winning actress, Mira Sorvino. Besides, there were rumors that Tarantino was in a relationship with his muse, Uma Thurman.
However, Quentin is hardly a ladies’ man. He had long-term relationships with all his partners. But none of them ended in an engagement. Quentin started thinking about marriage only at the age of 54 when he got engaged to Daniella Pick in 2017. According to him, he avoided marriage because he wanted to dedicate his life to filmmaking and was afraid that family life would affect his work.
Quentin met Daniella when he came to Israel to promote his movie Inglourious Basterds.
The fateful meeting with his future wife took place in Israel where the director promoted his movie Inglourious Basterds. Daniella Pick was a famous model and singer in her home country. Her father was an Israeli pop star, Svika Pick. And Daniella used to be part of a music duo with her sister Sharona. They even performed at Eurovision in 2005. Later, Daniella launched a solo career, and that was when she met Quentin.
It’s unknown how exactly the future spouses met because they prefer to keep their personal life private. But in 2009, they appeared in public together for the first time. In September 2009, Quentin and Daniella were seen at the Whip It movie premiere in Hollywood, but Pick was listed as Tarantino’s “unidentified guest” at the time.
They failed their first attempt of romance, but a few years later they rekindled their relationship and decided to get married.
Unfortunately, Quentin and Daniella’s romance didn’t last long on the first attempt. Having met in 2009, the couple broke up in 2012. The reason for this remained unknown, but Pick and Tarantino were able to be apart only for 4 years. In 2016, their romance rekindled, and Quentin didn’t miss his chance this time.
In 2017, the couple celebrated their engagement by throwing a party in New York. Many actors Quentin used to work with attended the event, including Uma Thurman, Bruce Willis, Samuel L. Jackson, and Diane Kruger.
Only 20 people were present at their private wedding ceremony.
Quentin and Daniella tied the knot in Los Angeles on November 28, 2018. Unlike their engagement, their wedding ceremony was very private. Only 20 guests which included close friends and family were present at the event. But some actors such as Uma Thurman, Bruce Willis, Eli Roth, Tim Roth, and Samuel L Jackson were among them.
Daniella wore a simple white satin dress, but she paired it with diamanté-encrusted straps by Dana Harel and a delicate diamond headband by Keren Wolf to make her outfit look luxurious. She also carried a bouquet of white roses.
In 2020, they welcomed their first baby, and their second one in 2022.
In August 2019, Tarantino and Pick announced that they were expecting a baby. Their son Leo was born in Tel Aviv on February 22, 2020. And he was named after Daniella’s beloved grandfather. Speaking to CBS in 2021, Quentin described his son Leo as the most charming person he’d ever met.
But one child didn’t seem enough for the couple, and they welcomed their daughter on June 20, 2022. Even though Quentin and Daniella shared the news of having a daughter, her name remained unknown. Perhaps, the couple will reveal it later.
Quentin and Daniella enjoy their quiet family life.
Daniella revealed that she and Quentin live quietly, enjoying each other’s company. They talk, laugh, and, of course, watch movies in Quentin’s private screening room.
The couple values privacy in their family life. Daniella inspires her husband and supports all his endeavors, while Quentin is delighted by his wife and her roots. At the 2020 Golden Globe Awards, he used Hebrew words to send a message to her from the stage, and he loves to visit Tel Aviv where he enjoys the local culture and people’s warmth. This is how an avid bachelor has been charmed by a beautiful girl and becomes a good family guy.
