18 Personal Stories That Are More Fascinating Than a Movie

Life is a very skillful scriptwriter. It creates stories that can give odds to famous books and movies. In real life, ordinary people witness unbelievable coincidences, solve family mysteries, or enjoy sudden discoveries.

At CHEERY, we are sure that our life is full of fascinating stories and we just have to pay attention to them.

1. “The cute little girl is my cousin AND my daughter.”

“This is my Uncle David, who died 22 years ago today, holding his little daughter (my cousin). Shortly after his death, my husband and I adopted her, and my cousin became my daughter. We love her very much and join her in celebrating her biological father’s life on this day.

This is one of the few photographs she has with him, and she cherishes it. She keeps it on her desk year-round, but she has been carrying it with her from room to room today. It made me smile!”

2. “A few weeks ago I adopted a puppy (right). Today a new dog appeared in front of the door, and he looks like he is the same dog from the future and he’s trying to warn himself about something.”

3. “My daughter’s first time losing a tooth since learning the truth about the tooth fairy. She still put her tooth under her pillow. I assumed she wanted the money anyway, so I played along.”

“She melted my heart with this. The coin has an angel on it that reads, ‘A guardian angel to watch over you.’”

4. “This newborn fawn was left by its mother next to my wife’s freshly bloomed peonies.”

“The fawn was gone, presumably moved by mom around 3 p.m. We don’t have a fenced-in yard and generally get a large number of deer, but we’ve never observed a fawn so young. I’ll be keeping an eye out. We also don’t generally have predators, so these are safe.”

5. “Our 20-year wedding anniversary proves my wife and I share the same brain. We picked out cards for each other from 2 different supermarkets on 2 different days. I love being hitched to my best friend.”

6. “For over a year, my dog would be waiting for me at this window every day when I got home from work. Since my girl passed, Lacie has started doing the same thing.”

“I don’t know why. But it makes me smile when I see her.”

7. “I lost my tool bag and shop journal off the back of my motorcycle. 2 weeks later someone found and returned them to me. Much later, I found this written in the back of the journal.”

8. An employee with a big heart

9. “This couple in the town that I recently moved to sit on their porch and wave at passers-by all day, every day, no matter who is passing.”

“I recently started struggling to run again after almost 6 years off, and they cheer me on every time I pass.”

10. “They never truly leave us — look at how the ashes scattered at my doggy’s favorite park.”

“My logical brain wants to tell me that it’s just ashes in the wind. But my heart, my heart is telling me there’s no way it’s a coincidence and Biscuit was there.”

11. “Today I found a note to me from my grandfather 6 years after he passed away.”

“For Ellery — with more love than you can imagine — Grandpa”

12. “My husband lost his wedding ring in the sea yesterday. A man has just returned it to him saying he saw us looking for it yesterday and went back with his snorkel in the evening.”

“He found it for him and wouldn’t accept any money.”

13. “I’m the stepfather to an 8-year-old little girl who still sees her real father, who tries to pit her against me. She gave me this for Father’s Day but not to her real father.”

“It melted my heart. As a stepdad, it’s hard to gauge how I’m doing. It’s just nice being reassured that I am doing a good job.”

14. “My grandpa lost his Nokia several years ago. My uncle found it in the yard a few days after the old man passed.”

15. “I saw this Japanese mom’s amazing cooking and sent it to my mom asking her if she could make one for me. I was just joking since I’m no longer a kid and living on another continent now.”

“2 hours later she replied with this photo (right) and told me she will be practicing and cooking it for me when I go back home. This is her first try.”

16. “My dad died 3 years ago. He wrote this on my ceiling one night 10+ years ago. My mom remodeled my room after I moved out, and I forgot about the note.”

“She had it cut out and framed. The most special gift I have ever been given.”

17. Blood is thicker than mud.

“They’re going to set up some play dates for them. I guess they ran for each other, I’m crying.”

18. “This morning, I dressed our little girl in an outfit that she’d finally grown into. Later, I saw this photo of my wife in a ‘3 Years Ago’ social media memory.”

“She was holding up the same little dress, picked up then for a future baby girl that we may or may not even have. So out of pure coincidence, she wore her wishing dress for the first time exactly 3 years after we found it.”
