14 Times When A-List Actors Made Movies Better With an Unexpected Cameo

We’re used to seeing big stars in main roles, but sometimes, even top stars agree to do a tiny role. So we remembered some of the best cameos that viewers really enjoyed. At the end of the day, little pigeons can carry great messages. You can say the same thing about the people from today’s compilation.

Sandra Bullock, Bullet Train

This recent action film with Brad Pitt has a lot of stars in it. For example, a tiny role of a pervert passenger went to Channing Tatum, and Ryan Reynolds appeared on the screen for a couple of seconds as a mercenary who didn’t go to work because of food poisoning. Sandra Bullock was the voice in Pitt’s headphones, and only at the end of the film, were we able to see her in the flesh. The actress appeared at the end as a caring supervisor.

Keanu Reeves, Always Be My Maybe

Album Online/East News

Keanu Reeves glued us to the screens when he appeared in a small role in the romantic comedy Always Be My Maybe. Since the movie was made by very creative Asian Americans, there had to be a big Asian American star in it. So Reeves was the perfect candidate for the part. The actor with Chinese-Hawaiian roots is loved by the public, he has a great sense of humor and can laugh at himself.

Chris Hemsworth, Interceptor

Chris Hemsworth had an unusual role in Interceptor. It was as if he was switching places with his wife Elsa Pataky — she played the main role, and he appeared in an episode. He played a seller in an electronics store. He was wearing glasses, had a dark wig, a beard and a badge, so he was hard to recognize. Fun fact: recently, Pataky appeared in a cameo in Thor: Love and Thunder. She portrayed Thor’s ex-love interest, a female werewolf.

Margot Robbie, The Big Short

In the Oscar-winning The Big Short, Margot Robbie played... Margo Robbie herself. It was in a short scene, where she was taking a relaxing bath and explaining how the mortgage market works. We’d love economics if we had such teachers!

Brad Pitt, Deadpool 2

Comic fans won’t forget Brad Pitt’s small cameo in Deadpool 2 any time soon. The most handsome man in Hollywood portrayed the Vanishing Man. Unfortunately, it’s not like his character has any future. He got tangled in electric wires after a bad parachute jump and passed away.

Eminem, The Interview

Eminem says he’s gay in The Interview. Even though he didn’t have much screen time, this episode made a big splash in the media, even though his confession was fake.

Ming-Na Wen, Mulan

Ming-Na Wen is known as the voice of Mulan in the original 1998 cartoon. In the full-length remake, the actress made an appearance. She played a small role. She appears closer to the end of the film and introduces Mulan to the Emperor.

Harry Styles, Eternals

Even though Eternals wasn’t a big hit, Harry Styles’ cameo in the post-credit scene attracted some attention. The musician played the role of Eros. In the scene, Thena (Angelina Jolie), Macquarie (Lauren Ridloff), and Druig (Barry Keoghan) meet Pip. He announced the appearance of Eros, who is supposed to be Thanos’ brother.

Bill Murray, Zombieland

The comedy about the zombie apocalypse was successful thanks to Bill Murray’s cameo. He played himself and made the movie so much better. By the way, the role of the star, hiding from the end of the world in a giant mansion, was supposed to go to Patrick Swayze.

Justin Bieber, Zoolander 2

Justin Bieber appears at the very beginning of Zoolander 2. The singer had to learn a parkour sequence for his scene, and he really enjoyed it. Unfortunately, he had a very small role. His character died, and Derek Zoolander, portrayed by Ben Stiller, wants to track down whoever killed him.

Kirsten Dunst, Black Mirror

Yes, Kirsten Dunst really appeared in episode 1, season 4 of Black Mirror. In that episode, one of the main roles was played by her then-boyfriend and now-husband Jesse Plemons. The actress was on the set and she asked the showrunners whether she could participate. She appears on the screen for a split second, so she’s not even credited.

Daniel Craig, Star Wars: The Force Awakens

It’s hard to believe, but Daniel Craig is under the costume of a stormtrooper. He appears in the scene where the character of Daisy Ridley is trying to get out of captivity. She tries to use her force and hypnotize the stormtrooper, played by Daniel Craig, who we know as James Bond.

Matt Damon, Deadpool 2

Matt Damon is almost unrecognizable under a layer of makeup in Deadpool 2. He was tough to identify because his name didn’t appear in the credits, instead, he was under the name Dickie Greenleaf. It’s a reference to Damon’s film The Talented Mr. Ripley.

Melissa McCarthy, Thor: Love and Thunder

In the last Thor film, some A-list stars played actors in the local theater. Matt Damon portrayed Loki, Chris Hemsworth’s brother Luke played Thor himself, and Melissa McCarthy turned into Thor’s sister, Hela. These cameos definitely made the film a lot funnier.

What cool cameos do you remember? And which films from this compilation have you watched?
